Emily and daughterThe days may be long but the years are incredibly short. We think we’ll remember every detail about our growing families – the dimples, cowlicks, sticky faces, and silly expressions – but memories fade making photographs that illicit vivid memories matter even more – and good ones are even more important.

I’m Emily – a natural light portrait photographer based in Toronto, specializing in family and business photography. My goal, regardless of whether I have a newborn or an executive in front of my lens, is to beautifully capture and preserve the true essence of that person.

I offer a number of family-focused packages, as well as newborn photography . In the business realm, I provide headshots, Instagram support , and packages to help you represent your business beautifully on the web. I also offer a fresh twist on school photography.

I see every photo as an opportunity to tell a story, and feel honoured every time someone invites me to capture theirs. My working style is friendly, informal and down-to-earth. My photography is fresh, light, and real.

Becoming a professional photographer has been a lifelong dream of mine – but I didn’t actually do it full time until I had my first child, Georgia, in 2010. Being home with her gave me both a deeper appreciation for the power and importance of photos, and the time I needed to pursue a formal education in photography. I studied at Ryerson and continue to hone and expand my skills every chance I get.

My Husband and I now have two children and call East-end Toronto home (although having grown up in Saint John, I’m a Maritimer at heart). When not behind my lens or editing photos, you’ll likely find me at a farmer’s market, tackling a craft project, or hanging with my kids.
